A-Scar-Ium event

• Masquerade among marine life and eat, drink and be scary at the North Carolina Aquarium A-Scare-ium Halloween costume party for grown-ups. The witching hours are 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25. Beverages, food, music, dancing, games of skill and haunting décor add up to a howling good time.

New Bern Walk to End Alzheimer's

 Neuse River Bridge Run

• Take part in the annual Neuse River Bridge Run. This run features certified point-to-point and USATF sanctioned footraces with a 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. These three races along with the SuperKids Fun Run are held to benefit eight local organizations that serve more than 100,000 of our Eastern North Carolina neighbors.

 Ghostwalk & Bridgeton RiverFest

• This year's theme, "The Haunted Housewives of New Bern," will take you through 18 ghostly sites in New Bern's Historic District as you meet spirits of the past who share their stories. Bridgeton's RiverFest will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Bridgeton Harbor Marina. This fine art festival will feature great artisitic work, an eclectic mix of awesome talents and much more!

Havelock:

Chili Festival

• In addition to the competitions, there will be Arts, Crafts, Food and Live Entertainment throughout the festival grounds on each day. On Saturday, Oct 19th, displays from MCAS Cherry Point and the City of Havelock will be on site.
